When Smeg’s design studio embarked on its newest venture – to create the world’s most energy-efficient fridge, Portofino epitomised the pinnacle of Italian opulence and so the new collection was named. It was fortuitous because Portofino also inspired the unique colours of the collection, taking their hues from the olive, terracotta, lemon and coral colours of the buildings lining the shores of Portofino, joyously contrasting with the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean.
AUTOMATIC DEFROST
The automatic defrost system works by automatically defrosting the fridge section at regular intervals eradicating the need to defrost altogether.
SMEG ACTIVE ION SYSTEM
Neutralizes bacteria, mold spores and all impurities responsible for unpleasant odours and food spoilage.
LED INTERIOR LIGHTING
LED strips on both sides of the fridge for a more energy efficient and long lasting way of illuminating the interior of the appliance.
LIFE PLUS 0°C
The temperature in the Lifeplus compartments is kept at 0°C, which preserves fresh meat and fish longer.
FAST FREEZING
