POWERFUL AIR EXTRACTION: Smegs rangehoods have been developed to optimise performance for all cooking styles and kitchen designs. Careful research and development ensures that Smeg rangehoods are super quiet with maximum extraction performance. We recommend using 150 mm duct pipe for peak performance. In installations where ducting to the outside is not possible, a recirculation kit is available as an optional extra.

STAINLESS STEEL GREASE FILTERS: Smeg stainless steel honeycomb filters with stainless steel latch may be washed in the dishwasher for ultimate convenience. The 4 ply mesh effectively captures grease and grime whilst maintaining optimum airflow.

Fitted beneath the benchtop rather than above it, this 60cm rangehood pulls smoke and steam away through a 150mm duct run engineered for strong extraction without the roar — Smeg's development work has focused on cutting noise while keeping airflow high, so it works during everyday cooking rather than only on the extractor fan's loudest setting.
Underneath, stainless steel honeycomb grease filters with a 4-ply mesh trap oil efficiently while maintaining airflow, and they lift out and go straight into the dishwasher, so upkeep is a rinse cycle rather than a scrubbing job. LED lighting below the canopy throws even, energy-efficient light across the cooktop, useful for checking a reduction or judging colour on a sear. Where external ducting is not possible, a recirculation kit is available as an optional extra, giving some flexibility at install stage.
