FALCON CLA90FXEICR/BR | 90CM CLASSIC FX INDUCTION RANGE COOKER cream/brass

Falcon’s Classic FX 90cm induction range cooker features a single spacious multi function oven, plus 5 induction zones including residual heat indicators and pan detectors. But what makes the FX unique is the energy saving panel (ESP) which allows you to switch from a full size 114 litre oven cavity that’s great for cooking en masse, to a modest 49 litre oven that uses less energy when cooking smaller dishes. Talk about flexibility! Also available with Chrome or Brass fittings.

OVEN LIGHT

Oven lights make it easy to view the what’s cooking, without opening the oven door. All Falcon 110cm and 100cm falcon cookers with double ovens feature two oven lights. 90cm double oven cookers feature one light (in the oven with the porthole). 90cm single oven cookers feature two oven lights.

SLOW COOK

All Falcon upright cookers offer the ability to slow cook. Temperatures can be set as low as 80°C which is great to slow cook casseroles and large joints of meat as well as to dry foods such as apples, pears and kiwi fruit. Falcon have a delicious slow cooked spiced lamb shoulder recipe which takes approximately 6 hours on 130°C. Slow cooking allows meats to cook more evenly (inside and out). It is imperative to use a temperature probe to check the internal temperature when cooking is nearing completion (desired internal temperature will depend on the meat) to ensure the meat is cooked sufficiently.

INDUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Induction is fast, responsive and incredibly controllable; boiling water and changing heat levels can be instantaneous. This cooking method is much faster than gas or ceramic and is by far the most efficient. Using a magnetic field to generate heat, only the pan is heated, not the hob surface, so spillages won’t burn onto its surface during use, making cleaning exceptionally easy. Only after exceptionally long cooking periods will the hob become too hot to touch, which is when the Falcon residual heat indicator provides a visual safety warning.

CATALYTIC OVEN LINERS

Catalytic self cleaning oven liners (the grey with white flecked liners pictured inside the oven on the wall) assist with the cleaning of the oven. When temperatures exceed 200°C, the catalytic self cleaning liners burn off fats and food deposits. Minimal residue can then be wiped with a lint free cloth and soapy water when necessary. Catalytic liners are on the sides of selected Falcon range cookers in the left hand oven.

Child Lock Hob

To prevent the unwanted use by children, the hob can be locked. To lock the hob, simultaneously turn the two left-hand controls counter-clockwise and hold until the ‘key lock’ symbol appears in the centre of the hob control display. Locking the hob will NOT affect the oven; it can still be used. To unlock the hob, simultaneously turn the two left-hand controls counter-clockwise and hold until the ‘key lock’ symbol disappears from the centre of the hob control display.

Why Buy?

Adaptive induction cooking with energy-saving flexibility

The energy saving panel transforms this 114-litre oven into a compact 49-litre cavity when cooking smaller portions, reducing energy consumption without compromising performance. Five induction zones with residual heat indicators and pan detection deliver instantaneous heat control across the cream enamel finish with brass appointments.

Induction technology heats only the cookware through magnetic fields, leaving the hob surface cool to touch and preventing spillages from burning on during use. Catalytic liners in the oven walls burn off fats and food deposits when temperatures exceed 200°C, reducing cleaning to a simple wipe-down. The slow cook function operates from 80°C for extended braising and gentle food dehydration.

The Classic FX design suits traditional kitchens where a statement range cooker anchors the cooking zone. Cream enamel finish with brass control knobs and trim creates visual warmth, while the 90cm width fits standard cabinetry spacing. Child lock functionality on the hob controls ensures safety in family kitchens while maintaining independent oven operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this induction cooker connect to power?

It requires a hardwired connection to your home's electrical supply, which is standard for many freestanding ovens. This ensures the appliance receives the necessary 230V and 49 total amperage safely for optimal performance.

What is the capacity of the oven?

The electric oven features an energy saving panel that allows you to switch between a 114-litre full oven for large meals and a 49-litre reduced cavity for smaller dishes. This provides flexible capacity for varying cooking needs.

Is this oven difficult to clean?

No, the multi-function oven is designed for easy maintenance with its catalytic self-cleaning liners. These special liners absorb grease and food residue during cooking, making cleanup much simpler without harsh chemicals.

How do the induction cooking zones work on this model?

The five induction cooking zones use electromagnetic energy to directly heat your cookware, making cooking faster and more energy-efficient than traditional electric elements. They also include residual heat indicators and pan detectors for safety and convenience.

What does the energy saving panel do on this range cooker?

The energy saving panel on the Classic FX 90cm Induction Range Cooker allows you to adapt the oven's size, effectively transforming the 114-litre full cavity into a smaller 49-litre oven. This feature is ideal for cooking smaller dishes without heating the entire oven, saving energy and time.
