FALCON CLA90FXEIMG/CH | 90CM CLASSIC FX INDUCTION RANGE COOKER Mint Green/Chrome

Falcon’s Classic FX 90cm induction range cooker features a single spacious multi function oven, plus 5 induction zones including residual heat indicators and pan detectors. But what makes the FX unique is the energy saving panel (ESP) which allows you to switch from a full size 114 litre oven cavity that’s great for cooking en masse, to a modest 49 litre oven that uses less energy when cooking smaller dishes. Talk about flexibility! Also available with Chrome or Brass fittings.

OVEN LIGHT

Oven lights make it easy to view the what’s cooking, without opening the oven door. All Falcon 110cm and 100cm falcon cookers with double ovens feature two oven lights. 90cm double oven cookers feature one light (in the oven with the porthole). 90cm single oven cookers feature two oven lights.

SLOW COOK

All Falcon upright cookers offer the ability to slow cook. Temperatures can be set as low as 80°C which is great to slow cook casseroles and large joints of meat as well as to dry foods such as apples, pears and kiwi fruit. Falcon have a delicious slow cooked spiced lamb shoulder recipe which takes approximately 6 hours on 130°C. Slow cooking allows meats to cook more evenly (inside and out). It is imperative to use a temperature probe to check the internal temperature when cooking is nearing completion (desired internal temperature will depend on the meat) to ensure the meat is cooked sufficiently.

INDUCTION TECHNOLOGY

Induction is fast, responsive and incredibly controllable; boiling water and changing heat levels can be instantaneous. This cooking method is much faster than gas or ceramic and is by far the most efficient. Using a magnetic field to generate heat, only the pan is heated, not the hob surface, so spillages won’t burn onto its surface during use, making cleaning exceptionally easy. Only after exceptionally long cooking periods will the hob become too hot to touch, which is when the Falcon residual heat indicator provides a visual safety warning.

CATALYTIC OVEN LINERS

Catalytic self cleaning oven liners (the grey with white flecked liners pictured inside the oven on the wall) assist with the cleaning of the oven. When temperatures exceed 200°C, the catalytic self cleaning liners burn off fats and food deposits. Minimal residue can then be wiped with a lint free cloth and soapy water when necessary. Catalytic liners are on the sides of selected Falcon range cookers in the left hand oven.

Child Lock Hob

To prevent the unwanted use by children, the hob can be locked. To lock the hob, simultaneously turn the two left-hand controls counter-clockwise and hold until the ‘key lock’ symbol appears in the centre of the hob control display. Locking the hob will NOT affect the oven; it can still be used. To unlock the hob, simultaneously turn the two left-hand controls counter-clockwise and hold until the ‘key lock’ symbol disappears from the centre of the hob control display.

Why Buy?

Intelligent induction range with adaptive oven sizing

The Energy Saving Panel transforms this 90cm range from a full 114-litre oven for large gatherings to a compact 49-litre cavity for everyday cooking, reducing energy use without compromising versatility. Five induction zones with residual heat indicators and pan detection deliver instant heat response and precise control.

Induction technology heats only the cookware through magnetic fields, leaving the cooktop surface safe to touch while delivering faster boil times than gas or ceramic. The self-cleaning catalytic liners in the oven walls burn off fats and deposits at temperatures above 200°C, while dual oven lights let you monitor progress without opening the door.

The mineral green finish with chrome fittings brings considered colour to modern kitchens, while the child lock feature prevents accidental activation. Slow cook settings as low as 80°C handle overnight braises and preserve delicate textures, making this range as capable with gentle techniques as it is with high-heat searing.

Buy this if…

  • You want variable oven capacity that adapts to meal size and saves energy
  • You prioritise induction's instant heat response and easy cleaning
  • You cook with both high-heat techniques and slow, gentle methods
  • You appreciate considered colour choices beyond standard stainless steel
  • You need a 90cm range that handles both daily cooking and entertaining

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this electric oven need special electrical wiring?

Yes, this range cooker requires a hardwired electrical connection for installation. This ensures safe and proper operation given its total amperage of 49V.

How does the energy saving panel work on this range cooker?

The energy saving panel in this range cooker allows you to switch between a full 114-litre oven capacity and a reduced 49-litre cavity. This feature is designed for cooking smaller dishes more efficiently without heating the entire oven.

Are the ovens easy to clean, or do they have catalytic self-cleaning?

Yes, the multi-function oven in this model includes catalytic self-cleaning liners. These liners absorb and break down grease and food splatters during normal cooking temperatures, making maintenance much simpler.

What kind of induction zones does this cooker have?

This cooker features five induction zones, each equipped with residual heat indicators and pan detectors. The pan detectors ensure the zone only heats when a suitable pot or pan is present, enhancing safety and efficiency.

Can you do slow cooking in this multi-function oven?

Yes, the multi-function oven offers a dedicated slow cooking function, capable of maintaining precise temperatures from 80°C. This allows for tender, flavourful results for dishes like stews or roasts over extended periods. For more options, you can browse other freestanding ovens.
