When Smeg’s design studio embarked on its newest venture – to create the world’s most energy-efficient large-format cooker, Portofino epitomised the pinnacle of Italian opulence and so the new collection was named. It was fortuitous because Portofino also inspired the unique colours of the collection, taking their hues from the olive, terracotta, lemon and coral colours of the buildings lining the shores of Portofino, joyously contrasting with the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean.
INDUCTION HOB COOKERS
The performance of a great Chef in the home environment, perfect cooking with controlled duration and power, extreme safety and ease of use, are the main features of the new Portofino induction hobs. In Portofino kitchens with induction hobs, heat is generated only by the direct contact of the pot on the cooking area, guaranteeing absolute safety even in the presence of children. In this way it is possible to optimize consumption, using only the energy necessary to heat the container itself.
TRIPLE FAN TECHNOLOGY
Tailored Dynamic Airflow engineering ensures even cooking throughout each shelf, corner-to-corner of the Portofino with three fans circulating air efficiently over five cooking levels, with the increased power enabling excellent cooking performance.
126L CAPACITY
When entertaining, the massive capacity of Smeg’s 90cm Freestanding Cookers makes catering simple. The generous 126 litres mean two roasts can be cooked side-by-side, with a huge tray of vegetables at the same time! Healthy meals are ready in just 30 minutes.
